Tangan Terbuka

Open minds.
Open hands.
More possibility.

We bring students together to learn, build, and speak up for more accessible prosthetics.

A student project.
A shared purpose.

Tangan Terbuka began with a simple question: how can young people help make prosthetics more accessible?

What started as a 3D-printed hand project has grown into a youth-led organisation. We bring students together to explore assistive technology, understand barriers to access, and share what we learn.

You don’t need to be an expert to join the conversation. Curiosity is a good place to start.

Access to prosthetics should not depend on someone’s financial circumstances.

Cost, geography, maintenance, and specialist support can all affect access. We help students understand these barriers and explore ways to contribute.

Learn together.
Make a start.

Three ways we turn curiosity into practical student action.

01 / Understand

Make access part
of the conversation.

We create student-friendly content about prosthetics, affordability, and the challenges underserved communities face.

02 / Explore

Ask questions.
Test ideas.

We encourage students to investigate problems, experiment with materials, and learn through research and prototyping.

03 / Share

Build something
others can learn from.

We share approachable projects so students can understand, assemble, question, and improve them.
